It is early in the morning and I find myself contemplating what I want to do in the next couple of months as far as the main Astral Audio Productions website is concerned. Already, I have some ideas. Mostly, this is content related. There a nice group of people behind the scenes waiting to be heard and I haven’t given them the proper credit they deserve. So once the next few planned podcast episodes roll out, I plan on haulting any podcast creation for the near future or at least cut down to one a month or so. I want to really buckle down and improve what you see when coming here. This means more about the actors – who they are, noteable roles they’ve been in, recent projects etc – more about myself, my personal thoughts on issues, my goals, and the random cool bits of info I find on a regular basis – more about podcasting in general, defining and showing examples of podcasts that influence us here at Astral Audio Productions – an. . . .

What do you want to see? Seriously, you come for the podcast episodes or because someone told you to check this place out. But what do you want from us to keep your interest?

Astral Audio Productions has a slight change. What do you think of the new design? There are some tweaks that have to be made, but let us know what you think.

Who knew that when I proposed the blogger/podcaster take over that this interactive space would be taken over to a degree. Current security breaches include: hidden links to unrelated websites (mostly of a risqué nature), posts moved to different dates than originally published, category labels for posts altered etc. As a result, we are going to take measures to improve the security standards for Astral Audio Productions. I will enlist the assistance of anyone who wishes to be a second or third pair of eyes to rectify the situation. This post will be updated to reflect the status of where things stand as it relates to plugging up the holes and purging ourselves of the links etc. Anyone who wishes to help whip this ship back into shape may email me directly. (Knowledge of wordpress required.)

As a side note, I am reminded of a scene from Star Trek: TNG that fits this scenario.

By the time this post is viewed, I will be back in Natchez after completing various evaluation tests and having instructors observe my skills. The impression I was given at the beginning was that my progress would dictate the overall outcome of my stay at the center. To a degree, this was correct. The instructors *did* have to come to the conclusion that my skills were proficient. However, the proverbial head fake was that I had to internally observe myself performing the tasks and know that I was at a true level of of success. The program is designed for clients to get as much out of the instruction as they put into it. Personally, I feel that more attention should be put on applying bar-raising practices to make the individuals face challenges while learning through the hard work that when push comes to shove, they can do anything asked of them at any given moment; opportunities given throughout their stay to experience real-life scenarios for when they terminate. But for the person who *does* motivate him or herself, this “go at your own pace” approach can be a blessing in disguise. It grants someone with drive and desire to push forward and go beyond what is expected. This is what happened in my case. I’ll have more to say after a few days have passed and I’m done celebrating this weekend; turning 25 only happens once!

Firstly, to all the junkies visiting from scottsigler.com, thanks for giving us a look see. We are wanting those who would like to get their feet wet in the podcasting and production arena. It will take a few weeks to get things settled, but I am confident that we can hit the ground running.

Second, I can confirm that I will be back in Natchez on the 15th of this month thanks to me accomplishing the tasks set before me here in Jackson. It has been a learning experience; some good, some neutral, and more often than not refreshing. As always, feel free to share this post and/or leave a comment.

Episode slated for yesterday postponed since time constraints prevented a proper editing schedule. It looks like I will be here in Jackson Mississippi until sometime in the third week; basically between Mother’s Day and the 16th. I’ll update when possible. So far, the feedback from instructors has been quite positive.
